Abstract: There are significant gender differences in the epidemiology and risk factors of stroke.Studies have shown that the irreversible events that women could experience in their lifetime, such as pregnancy, childbirth and other related reproductive factors have a great impact on the risk of stroke.Relatively comprehensive studies have been conducted abroad on these risk factors and it is proposed to advance interventions on risk factors of stroke toward pregnant women. In comparison, domestic clinical study pays less attention to these risk factors. Thus, this study reviews domestic and foreign researches on female reproductive factors and stroke,in order to improve the medical history collection of women's specific risk factors, strengthen the screening of their reproductive factors and promote the treatment and health education of related diseases,so as to reduce the risk of stroke in their lifetime.Meanwhile, this paper may fill the knowledge gap in prevention and control of related reproductive factors, and enhance the ability of women and their families to understand their health behaviors in relation to stroke and to respond to their own risks.
