Abstract:

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is one of the most common clinical arrhythmias and is closely associated with serious complications such as stroke and heart failure, posing a significant burden on public health. This article combining the Australian Guidelines for Preventive Activities in General Practice (Red Book) and the Chinese Atrial Fibrillation Management Guidelines (2025), systematically compared similarities and differences in AF screening strategies, target populations, screening methods, and risk factor management between the two countries. It explored their applicability and implementation pathways within the context of general practice in China, aiming to provide references for building an general-led hierarchical AF screening and prevention system suited to China's national conditions.
