Abstract: Acute suppurative thyroiditis is a rare nonspecific infective inflammation.Herein the diagnosis and treatment courses of two cases were reported in this paper,relevant literatures were reviewed,and its clinical management was discussed.These patients were young females presenting firstly as pain in neck,swelling in the left lobe of thyroid and fever.After the diagnosis was established,both were treated with antibiotics and their symptoms and signs disappeared rapidly.During the period of follow-up,recurrence did not occur.

摘要： 急性化脓性甲状腺炎是一种临床少见的甲状腺非特异性感染性炎症。本文报道两例成年人急性化脓性甲状腺炎的诊治过程，并复习相关文献，讨论本病的临床管理。此两例患者均为年轻女性，均首先表现为颈部疼痛、甲状腺左叶肿大及发热。明确诊断后，两例患者均给予抗生素治疗，症状及体征迅速消失。随访期间未见复发。
