This protocol specifically explored electroacupuncture-based therapeutic strategies for chronic insomnia and its common comorbidities—pain, anxiety, and depression. It provided targeted recommendations for acupoint combinations, waveform selection, and treatment duration. Furthermore, the protocol detailed the standard operating procedure, clearly defined indications and contraindications, and established emergency plans for managing adverse reactions, including needle fainting, stuck needle, and hematoma, thereby ensuring treatment safety.
