Introduction of General Medicine

        General medicine is also called Family Medicine overseas and came from the ideology and work

pattern of the simple ancient medical science, and was also combined with the theories and

techniques of modern science. In 1969 this discipline was approved by the American Board of

Medical Specialties (ABMS) as the 20th specialty organization in the field of medical science in the

United States. This marked the naissance of family medicine, and hereafter it was popularized

gradually in many countries. The reason why general medicine was developed so quickly and

welcomed in many countries is that it promoted and carried out a new mode of biology- psychology-

social medicine, made up the limitation of the medicine ideas and medical service system formed

under the simple biology medicine mode, and then well resolved the new problems brought to medica

l field including the rise of medical treatment expenses, the rise of old populations, and the changes

of diseases atlas etc.
